McLuhan has returned because we are once again
experiencing the consequences of the introduction
of new media. He believed that the clarity of his
insight into the Gutenberg Galaxy was only
possible once print was in eclipse, superseded by a
rival electric environment. From a new historical
horizon, the dynamics of transformation once
again become visible to the discerning intellect.
